The Hippies Have It Right

There is something to be said about the neutrality of any kind of situation. We humans tend to blow things out of proportion. The ego steps in and we find ourselves hurt. We ask: How could anyone deny my awesomeness? But the truth is, your awesomeness probably has nothing to do with it. The situation is what it is. It is part of you and part of your life, but it is not what defines you, and it is no reflection of you. So sometimes it's best to just take a step back, take a deep breath, look around and recognize that in essence you are OK - you are here, now, you are present and you are just fine, regardless of the circumstances.

The mind will play tricks on you. It needs an explanation for everything,  and so it will over-analyze everything. And then, if you don't like the answer, you just successfully made yourself miserable. So maybe it's best to just be. Allow things to happen as they do, accept them and go with the flow. Believe that everything is exactly as it is supposed to be. Find your inner stillness and chill the fuck out. Maybe that is inner balance. Acceptance.
